The Mas of Christ, '06!

Firstly: At long last, my two worldly passions combined! I no longer have a reason to live. Having a cable modem is so great, etc.

I got "my brother" (by which I mean him ... and myself) KOTOR for Christmas. From what I've seen of him playing, it's pretty damn cool. Of course, it took me about two hours screwing around the computer trying to figure out why the game wouldn't run properly before I discovered that our new PC didn't come with the latest acceptable video card driver and I had to download it. Gnargh. But at least Tribes: Vengeance should work now.

Unfortunately, I won't get the chance to find out, nor will I get to play KOTOR, until later, "later" having yet to be defined as before or after my trip to Japan. The reason for this lies in my complete inability to motivate myself, which has prevented me from finishing my application the Center for Cartoon Studies until the last few days before my trip, which doubles as a deadline. I currently have one page left to pencil, six pages left to ink, and an essay to write. Can I pull all this off in 2.5 days' time? STAY TUNED TO FIND OUT.

Other notable Christmas presents include WoW (yay!), Dungeon Siege, and Battlefront 2, thusly assuring my place in the World of Two-Year-Old Games. Unhappily, all these games will be left untouched until I return from my trip, as will the copies of the sequels of Crazy Taxi, Alundra, and Broken Sword that I bought recently. Sad, but true.

We got a kitten for Christmas. We've yet to name the bugger, but damn if he doesn't look like our old cat Malcolm. He's been pretty cool in the face of a highly excited dog and an evilly spiteful older cat. He shall make a fine sacrifice to the fire gods.
